Terms and Conditions for Event Participation – The Chayse West Legacy

 

1. Registration Requirements

All participants taking part in events through The Chayse West Legacy, whether via a Charity Place or Independent Place, must register with both The Chayse West Legacy and the official event organisers.

 

2. Fundraising Guidelines

Charity and Independent Place participants agree to raise funds using legal methods and in accordance with guidance provided by The Chayse West Legacy and, where applicable, the Fundraising Regulator.

A minimum of £150 must be raised by each participant.

All funds raised must be submitted to The Chayse West Legacy by the fundraising deadline stated in the event sign-up form.

 

3. Own Place Participants

Must have secured their place directly with the event organisers via ballot or application.

Must pay any applicable participation fees.

Are required to submit all funds raised to The Chayse West Legacy by the stated deadline.

 

4. Team Registrations

Participants registering as part of a team must commit to raising the minimum fundraising target per individual.

Any discounts on team fundraising targets are at the sole discretion of The Chayse West Legacy and will be confirmed in writing.

 

5. Place Transfers

Charity or Independent Places cannot be transferred to another individual after the event organiser’s registration deadline. This is strictly prohibited.

 

6. Health and Safety

All participants take part in events at their own risk.

By registering, participants confirm they are physically fit and able to participate.

Individuals with known medical conditions must seek approval from a medical professional before registering.

Participants are responsible for assessing their own fitness and must withdraw from the event if any medical or physical condition arises that prevents safe participation.

 

7. Fundraising and Beneficiary Status

Charity and Independent Place participants agree to raise funds for The Chayse West Legacy without receiving their event place in return.

Participants who are current, previous, or tentative beneficiaries of The Chayse West Legacy understand that fundraising is entirely separate from the support process and has no bearing on eligibility or access to support.

 

8. Deferrals, Transfers, and Cancellations

Deferrals for Charity Place participants may be offered at the discretion of The Chayse West Legacy.

If granted, deferrals are valid for one year.

A new registration fee will be required.

Carry-over of previously raised funds is at the discretion of The Chayse West Legacy.

Cancellations by participants will not result in a refund of the participation fee.

Cancelled places may be offered to another individual if applicable.

If a participant cancels their place, they will still be required to pay the participation fee.

If a deferral is not possible, a transfer to a suitable alternative event may be offered at the discretion of The Chayse West Legacy, subject to:

Commitment to the minimum fundraising target.Payment of the applicable participation fee.
